College Trained Help Available At O.S.E.S.

The employer interested in hiring college-trained specialists in any one of some 75 different professional and technical fields has only to contact the nearest local office of the Ohio State Employment Service, Administrator Frank J. Collopy said today.

The employment service has the applications of several thousand college graduates--specialists in such fields as accounting, advertising, biology, engineering, journalism, law, machine designing, mathematics, physics, personnel and traffic management. Most of these applicants are recent graduates, Collopy reported, but a number of them have had considerable experience in their respective fields. Many of the applicants--both men and women--are veterans of World War II.

Through its state-wide clearance system, the BUC makes it possible for an employer to get in touch with any one of the job applicants regardless of his location. If an employer is considering hiring a type of worker who isn't available in the immediate vicinity, the local BUC office can query some 90 other offices throughout the state in an effort to meet that employer's needs.
