The Black Hills.

The miners taken out of the Black Hills by the troops are now en route from Fort Laramie. They bring specimens of the gold and silver dug out of the hills and claim that the mining can be made profitable. The winter has been unusually severe in the hills. The whole party is in good health and desire to go to the hills. Elk, deer, mountain sheep, wolves and bears are plentiful. The valleys are well watered, and the cattle and horses of the miners thrive well on the grass.

Captain W. Wilcox, a prominent merchant of Omaha, arrived from Red Cloud Agency on Friday, says Mr. Saville will come with the Indians at that agency to Washington in the latter part of next week. Wilcox saw several miners who wintered in the Black Hills. They found gold wherever they worked a shaft.
