Introduce Teachers and School Board Candidates at Chardon PTA Meeting
Main feature of the first meeting of Chardon's junior and senior high school's P. T. A. meeting last Thursday evening was the introduction of new teachers and candidates for election to the board of education.

Presiding over the meeting held in the music room of the high school, was President Richard C. Woolams, who announced that another spaghetti supper would be served this year, Oct. 13, in both the elementary school cafeteria, E. Park street and in the high school cafeteria.

The next regular meeting of the P. T. A. will be Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Mr. Charles Thomas, principal of junior high school, introduced new teachers for that school and Mr. Ira Canfield, superintendent of Chardon schools, introduced new high school teachers.

Mr. Canfield also told of the growth of the Chardon school system which now has an enrollment of 2478 students and 103 certified teachers.

He also told of the two levies to be on separate ballots in the November election. The 4 mill levy is a renewal on the former operating levy while the two mill levy is also for operating expenses and will enable the schools to receive a great deal more state aid in two years.

Home made cookies, donated and made by Mrs. Frank Kunstel, were served with coffee by Mrs. Richard Chardon.
