NEW-YORK, July 22.

Mr. Coleman, (Editor of the Evening Post) with his usual freedom, asserted in the Evening Post of yesterday, that the "View of the political conduct of Mr. Burr, is written by Mr. De Witt Clinton, Mr. Wortman, Mr. Richard Riker, and one of the editors of this paper." The public may rest assured, and we assert in the most positive terms, that not a single line of the "View" was written by any of the three first named gentlemen. It was written by one man. As to the editor alluded to, he feels no disposition to gratify Mr. Coleman either way.
