FREAK OF NATURE.—The Honolulu Advertiser of the 2nd ult., says: It is not often that an opportunity is afforded to witness such a freak of nature as occurred in our town on Tuesday last. It was the birth of a native child, with four legs, and four feet. There were two limbs besides, neither perfectly formed legs nor arms, but were stumps. The natural legs and feet were situated as in any perfectly formed child; the other legs are placed in front of these and are smaller, as are also the feet. Perhaps the best idea we can give of it to those who have not seen it is, that it resembles a perfectly formed child excepting the addition of two extra but smaller legs just in front of the natural ones, and close above these third and fourth legs, are the stumps of arms alluded to. The child has natural arms and hands in their proper position. Physicians think it may live as it appears to be in a healthy condition. The mother, a native, is quite proud of her curiosity.
