We were yesterday favored with the perusal of Philadelphia papers down to the 21st instant--but had time only to extract the following:--

Extract of a letter from New-York, January 19, 1794.

"Yesterday arrived here the ship Aster, from Ostend, which place she left on the 28th of November. No information is to be got out of the officers. I went on board to learn something from the seamen, but they answered to every question, I do not know. They were asked whether Ostend was in the hands of the French. their answer still was I do not know.

The coffee house politicians were unable to make out any of the intelligence brought by this vessel."
