Democratic Victory.
We learn with much pleasure that the gallant Democracy of Lyons, our sister city, up the river, have made a clean sweep in their Charter Election on the 2d inst. The Republicans were entirely routed on all sides, and have not a name any more in conducting the affairs of that city.
The people are getting awakened at home and abroad. Black Republicans are becoming less thought of and less respected every day.
We congratulate the Lyons Democracy on their good luck, and trust they will always hold it.
