At the General Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States, lately holden in New-York, the venerable Bishops of the Church were all present, and the attendance of the House of Clerical and Lay Deputies was more numerous than on any former occasion. The report of the state of the Church at large was peculiarly flattering. Among other acts of importance, the Convention have determined upon the establishment of a General Theological Seminary for the education of persons to the work of the Ministry. This Institution will be located in the city of New-York. The next meeting of the General Convention will be holden in Philadelphia.
