The following reports are talked of late at the west end of the town, viz. That a treaty of marriage is on foot between the Right Hon. Lord Montague, eldest son of the Earl of Cardigan, and the Right Hon. Lady Jane Stuart, second daughter to the Right Hon. the Earl of Bute. -

That the Right Hon. the Earl of Cardigan will be created a Marquis of Great Britain, by the name and stile of Marquis of Montague. -That the Rt. Hon. the Earl of Northumberland is to be created Duke of Northumberland, and Marquis of Percy --That Lord Mount-Stuart, eldest son to the Earl of Bute, is to be created Duke of Kent.
