Full Text

J. B. Burke returned this morning from Grand Island and other points East.

On my trip to Grand Island I visited the Business Normal College where Otto Pape and Archie Davis are attending school and I found them as busy as they could be and they seem well satisfied with the school. The boys seem to take great interest in their work and when I questioned them about the standing of the college they said while it was not a reformatory anyone could learn there if they wanted to. I had a talk with the President of the college and with many other things he said Otto and Archie were good students and the faculty appreciated their gentlemanly demeanor.

Mr. Hargis the president is very strict and some have to leave the school on account of their behavior.

I called on Rev. Horn formerly of Alliance and he says the school is a good one and if anything Mr. Hargis is too particular about the actions of the students so we can rest assured that the moral atmosphere is good and that their many friends of these two young men can feel that they are in good hands.
