CRISIS CAUSED BY STRIKERS IN CLEVELAND

CLEVELAND, April 25. (U.P.)- Strikes and threatened strikes hung over Cleveland industry today.

Approximately one-eighth of the city's 120,000 industrially employed were on the streets while city, state and federal mediators worked to bring agreement between employers and workers.

A critical situation developed in the strike of 2,000 gasoline station attendants when it appeared certain that virtually every service station in the city would be closed before nightfall.

Fisher Body corporation workers numbering 8,400 continued to picket the big plant here pending negotiations before the automobile labor board in Detroit. Fears grew that the strike would spread to other plants of the automotive industry, which employs nearly 50.000 here.

Deadlock remained in the walkout of 2300 employees of the Cleveland Worsted mills. Negotiationsare pending before the national labor board.

Some 1100 taxicab drivers will vote Friday on whether to strike.

Eight hundred Chase Brass company workers were on strike.
