A horrid murder was committed in Dorchester county, Md. on the 2d ult. on the person of a Mrs. Insley, then in an advanced state of pregnancy. The instrument used for the purpose was an axe, with which her skull was fractured, her throat cut, and her arm broken. The murder is believed to have been committed by a colored man and woman working on the farm, for the purpose of obtaining money which was supposed to be in the house. The husband of the lady was absent at the time. The suspected persons have been arrested, and will take their trial in April.
