TIMES STAFF MAKES TRIP TO OPHIR WITHOUT MISHAP

The Kusko Times staff made a business trip to Ophir last Monday afternoon, driving over in a ritzy Dodge coupe, kindly loaned them by Warner Alford, local freighter.

The drive was made without any serious mishaps; and that goes for the visit in Ophir proper, too. Neither of the boys fell into the river as they are in the habit of doing when getting too close to a stream or other body of water.

The Ophir mosquitoes seemed to relish a change of blood and were very enthusiastic in their welcome. Several thousand, more or less, followed the boys back to Takotna late in the evening where they are now living the 'Life of Riley.'

Anyway, they report a fine visit with the residents of Ophir and intend to make frequent trips to this hustling little mining metropolis this summer.
