MAN'S BEST FRIEND,
Next to God a man owes allegiance and love to his mother. Every day should be Mother's Day to that man who is due deference and affection towards the woman who gave him life and sustained him as an infant, trained and guided his youth, encouraged him at the critical stage of maturity, and advises and prompts him as he takes his place on the stage of life.
He should give her flowers, as an expression of his affection, and something besides. She will appreciate the kind word, the tender act of remembrance, and she will doubly appreciate you if you do as she would have you do, be as she has idealized you in her mother's dreams. Love her thoughtfully, obediently, and there will be mutual affection beyond means of expression in mere words.
If she has gone on into another realm, fail not to remember her fine regard for you, fancy she still sees and loves, for likely this is so. Be conscious of her everlasting mother love and call that your guardian angel here.
