A letter from a merchant of this city, now in Boston, states, that Governor Strong has refused to place the militia ordered by government under the command of Major General Dearborn. The governor says, when the militia of Massachusetts are ordered to march, he shall command them in person.
NOTE.
The above article has appeared in several papers. It is incorrect. Governor Strong, we know, has not refused to place the drafted troops under General Dearborn.
