President Greatsinger of the Duluth & Iron Range Railroad company who has just returned from the east has the following to say regarding new equipments.

"The Duluth & Iron Range Railway has in an order for 850 steel ore cars, each with a capacity of 50 gross tons, with the Pressed Steel Car company, at Pittsburg. They have a capacity of 60 cars a day and have orders far into the future. I looked over certain details as to construction and fully expect to get the cars in April. They will cost over $1,000 a piece. This car company is building cars for export to foreign countries. I saw cars built for use in India.

"We are having six 12-wheel and six 10-wheel locomotives built at Schenectady. I was not there and have not heard nothing of them for a month. They will weigh over 122 tons each when ready for the track. I fully expect 10 of them in April and two in May as per agreement."
