With the Transports, were all that sailed from the said Port; but they expected to be join'd at Rochelle by six Cruizers, who were then at Sea; two of which have been taken by the English, viz. the Ambushcade, and the Augustine; another, who took the Ship with Felons for Maryland, was so sickly, that they were obliged to lay her up. There were only two French Men of War left at Brest, who remain'd there for want of Men. There were no Troops shipped on board this Fleet, as has been reported; but 800 Horses, who were design'd to be embark'd, were march'd over Land to Rochelle, where it was reported they were to be embark'd, with about 10,000 Foot; but no Person in France pretends to say where this Armament is design'd.
