The Post from Boston informs, That the Evening before he left that Town, a Cape-Fear News-Paper came to hand, in which was the following most important Paragraph, viz.
Wilmington, November 21st, 1770.
Captain Callender, on his Passage from Boston, spoke with a Schooner, which a few Days before that, had Spoke with a Ship from London, bound to Charlestown, South-Carolina, out 18 Days; the Captain of which inform'd, that WAR had been declared ten Days when he left England.
The Post further informs, That just before he left Boston, being in a Printing-Office, a Gentleman came in, and said an Express had a few Minutes before come to Town from Newport, with Letters brought by a Ship arrived there in a short Passage from London: These Letters were for the Commodore and other Officers, and said to be on Account of the War with Spain.
