Supposed Murder. Adonijah Bailey, aged 78 years, was committed to prison in Brooklyn, Connecticut, a few days since, charged with the murder of Abraham W. Pollock, of Sterling, aged 55. It is supposed the act was committed with an axe, which was found, bloody, near the spot where Pollock was found buried, much lacerated. The two men had been at work together in the woods, but a few rods from the place where Pollock was discovered. It is said that Pollock had a considerable sum of money found in Bailey's cellar. The bloody axe was recognized as the property of Bailey.
