CHINESE SLAVES.

Women Held in Bondage by Taskmasters at San Francisco.

San Francisco, March 7. The collector of this port has received for his consideration a copy of a letter addressed by the secretary of the treasury to Attorney General Griggs in which the latter is urged to arrest all Chinese women held in San Francisco in slavery for the purpose of testing their rights to be in the United States. The matter is being discussed as to its feasibility. That female slavery is rife here is beyond question.
