A Picture That Never Came.

NEWARK, N. J., June 1.-Last week a Newark woman was swindled by a couple of well dressed and apparently well educated men into paying an installment on a picture that never came.

The facts were reported to the police and two arrests have just been made at No. 84 Hayes street. The prisoners gave their names as John Wagle, aged 26, of Passaic, a "teacher and minister," and Christian Leippinsaeger, aged 52, a painter, living at No. 102 Second avenue, New York. They were identified and locked up to await the action of the grand jury. They are believed to be well known to the New York police.
