WASHINGTON (UP)
Sen. J. William Fulbright (D-Ark.) said today he doubts the "wisdom" of giving U. S. military aid to Pakistan. However, from all sides came indications that the Eisenhower administration will act shortly to begin supplying armament to the young Moslem nation on the Asian underbelly of Soviet Russia. Pakistan formally asked for help yesterday.

SPRINGER, Ala. (UP)-Prison guards today killed an escaping prisoner and wounded another at Draper State Prison to pinch off a threatened jail break. Ronald Coleman, 20-year-old Jefferson County man, was shot down by guards manning shotguns. William Glover, Calhoun County, was slightly injured.
