Full Text
"Tobacco has no price, also West-India produce. It was hoped that the peace with Prussia, would have established more confidence. At present the talk is an accommodation with Spain, and even of a general peace, one of the principal conditions of which is to be the entire independence of the West-India Islands, under the guarantee of the belligerent powers. Bread is very much wanted all over Europe, of which scarcity we have not more to complain in this city than other parts of the country. Bread 6 livres the pound."
