Paris A-la-main, April 9. Yesterday being Maundy Thursday, the King gave the annual Example of Humility, in washing the Feet of twelve poor Men, and then waiting upon them at Table. The Count de Charolois assisted therein as Master of the Ceremonies, and the Dishes were carried by the Dauphin, the Duke de Chartres, the Prince of Conde, the Prince of Conti, the Count de la Marche, the Prince de Dombes, the Count d'Eu, the Duke de Penthievre, and the principal Officers of his Majesty's Household; the Maîtres d'Hotel walking before them.

The Queen also washed the Feet of twelve poor Women, and waited on them at Table, the Dishes being served up by the Dauphiness, the Ladies of France, and other Princesses of the Blood.

After the Easter Holidays the Court will go into Mourning for the Death of the Prince of Wales.
