WASHINGTON, Oct. 10.-The President today nominated Charles B. Faris of Missouri to be United States district judge for the eastern district of Missouri.
Mr. Faris was graduated from the University in the class of 1889 and a member of the Board of Curators from 1903 to 1909. His last two years he served as president of the board. In 1912 he became a judge in the Supreme Court of Missouri.
His daughter, Miss Mary Lee Faris is a student in the University. Miss Adalyn Faris, another daughter, is a graduate of the School of Journalism.
