October 11. We hear from Charleston, South Carolina, that Mr. Powell, Printer, has unfortunately fallen under the Displeasure of the Honourable House of Assembly, by printing in his Gazette, No. 1966, a Matter purporting to be Part of the Proceedings of the House on the 26th of August, for which he was ordered to the Bar of the House, where he declared that the Copy had been given him by the Honourable William Henry Drayton, Esq; a Member of that Honourable Assembly.

The House ordered him into Custody, from whence he was four Days afterwards admitted to Bail, on giving Security for his Appearance.

The Honourable Mr. Drayton entered his Dissent and Protest on the Occasion.
