Full Text

Our young friend J. H. Behan, who was elected Recorder of this county, at the late election, to an unexpired term, has qualified and taken charge of the office. During the canvass all sorts of charges were made against Mr. Behan, and a certain many Democrats gave him the cold shoulder. Nevertheless, he was elected by a handsome majority over his opponent, C. T. Rogers. As to the charges made against Mr. Behan we believe them to be false and have great hope that he will make a good, faithful and honest officer. He occupies the most important office in the county and the people need not fear but that he will fill it to the best of his ability, which is far better than that of some of his maligners.
