WASHINGTON, May 15 (UP)-- The government soon will distribute 30,000 newly-developed home size food dehydrators to housewives in southeastern states in a campaign to preserve food that otherwise would be wasted because of the lack of processing machinery.
The plan was revealed to a senate agriculture subcommittee during hearings on food production. It is being delayed until priorities can be secured on the recommendation of the agriculture department to the war production board.
