Visit Cancer Clinic
Nineteen residents of Columbus County were among the forty-one persons who appeared for examinations at the cancer detection-diagnostic clinic in Wilmington last Tuesday, according to a report released by officials of the American Cancer Society.
Of the forty-one persons examined thirty were referred to their personal physicians for medical care while 17 cases were studied in the diagnostic clinic. A total of fifty-four examinations were completed.
A check of the register shows that in addition to the nineteen persons from Columbus county, there were four from Bladen three from Brunswick, one each from Duplin, Pender, Wake Jones. Onslow and Robeson while New Hanover County had nine.
