Full Text

From the American Citizen.

Mr. Cooper, the Garrick of the United States,
and perhaps, the best Tragedian in the world, is
making preparations to visit Europe. Much anxiety
is expressed as to his ultimate intentions --
Whether he means to return to the United States
or not is uncertain, but he seems determined to
leave upon our minds very extraordinary impressions.
The characters which he is now playing, equally
worthy of the authors and himself, are so justly
conceived and ably executed, that we have nothing
to hope from the future, nor any thing to regret
but the probability, that we shall "never look upon
his like again."
