An accident whereby a buggy which was under the chief engineership of Captain McSweeney was capsized on the road between the Glenbrook and Pray's mill, at Lake Tahoe, luckily resulted in no serious injury to any of the three ladies who were riding with the Captain at the time. It is to that gentleman's credit that it is told that he held on so resolutely to the reins of the frightened horses as that he was enabled to bring them to a halt after being dragged a hundred yards, more or less. A passing lumber wagon caused the upset.
