Weekly Flights States to Alaska Now Operating

SEATTLE, Aug. 19, (AP)- Pan American Airways announced its "Baby Clipper" was scheduled to hop at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from Seattle for Ketchikan and Juneau on the first air-express shipment flight ever sent to Alaska from the United States. District Traffic Manager R. O. Bullwinkel said that the Bureau of Air Commerce had granted the necessary authority Friday. He said: "After the Saturday flight, a regular weekly express service will be maintained throughout the year, weather permitting. Next week the departure time will be changed to Friday mornings, returning Mondays".
