The facts stated by Mr. Biddle, as represented in an article which we publish from the U. S. Gazette, are truly extraordinary, and testify, irrefragably, to the integrity and good management of the officers of the Bank. He says the institution can refund the U. S. stock, pay the State bonus, allow six millions for bad debts, and still have a surplus of two millions above its capital. That is capital indeed.—
The service of plate voted to Mr. Biddle ought to be made of Jackson 'yellow boys,' and his enemies should serve it up for him till they are convinced and ashamed of their error.
'The monster' now to be crushed is Executive patronage and official subserviency.
We hope the people will soon get their foot on it.
