Full Text

A Prominent Democrat Read Out.

The Beauregard Democracy cannot understand why they have lost their hold upon the people. They should remember that they were strong until they read Uncle Sam out of the party. The old man has considerable influence, for the reason that he has done more for the people than ever Jeff Davis did. Uncle Sam is a National Democrat, and will not tamely submit to the assaults of swaggering filibusters, claiming to represent States. The McConnellites may follow Uncle Jeff. The supporters of John Conness recognize Uncle Sam as their Commander.
