Liverpool, Sep. 17.

That distinguished officer, vice admiral Sir Sidney Smith, accompanied by his lady and three daughters, arrived at the King's Arms Inn on Sunday se'night, from Manchester. He had been there waited on by a deputation of gentlemen, and invited to a public dinner at the Exchange, on which occasion the principal inhabitants of that town were present. When he arrived at Warrington, the horses were taken from his carriage, and he was drawn through the streets amidst the congratulations of a vast concourse of people. Sir Sidney has experienced the same fervor of public attachment in the whole course of his journey. After visiting the Liverpool Academy, &c. &c. he returned to the Exchange, where he was met by the collected body of merchants, &c. and hailed by repeated cheers.
