Fatal Accident.

A correspondent of Cavendish gives us the particulars of a fatal accident which occurred in that place, on Friday last, to a little daughter, aged about nine years, of Quartermaster General Davis. Mr. Gould, who was in the employ of General Davis accompanied by the General's daughter, went into a wood not far from the residence, loaded a log upon a sled, and started for home. The little girl unfortunately getting too near the log was struck by it such a manner as to inflict injuries which caused her death in a few hours. — Rutland Herald.
