New Railroad for Grant County,

Dubuque Times-Journal: Last week the State Railway Commission granted the Grant Railroad company permission to build a railroad from Woodman through Mt. Hope and Patch Grove to Bloomington a distance of twenty-one miles through one of the best agricultural and stock raising sections of the state. The communities interested last September voted a tax amounting to $130,000 to aid the enterprise. The company has received propositions from several construction companies and it is highly probable that the contract will be let before spring, so that work can be started as soon as the frost leaves.
