REID FOR GOVERNOR.
A special dispatch to the Commercial Appeal from Washington, in regard to Congressman Reid's probable candidacy for governor, says:
"Representative Charles Reid of the Fifth Arkansas district, who promised his friends before leaving Little Rock that on his return home he would make a definite response to their importunities for him to enter the race for the gubernatorial nomination probably will announce his candidacy. Mr. Reid will leave for Little Rock in a few days, and upon his arrival there he will make a formal statement. Since coming to Washington Mr. Reid has received letters from friends all over the state asking him to become a candidate for governor. Mr. Reid is serving his fourth term in the house and is a member of the judiciary committee."
