Mrs. Opal Catlin officially took over the management of the Maynard-MacDougall Memorial Hospital yesterday as administrator and took steps immediately to find temporary replacement for Dr. F. Langsam, who left yesterday morning for the States.

She stated that a military medical man is expected to remain over the holiday and other arrangements are pending until the new doctor arrives about the 15th of July.

Mrs. Catlin is not a stranger in Nome, having been on the hospital staff in 1954. She comes to Nome from Samoa and stated that outside of the doctor and Hazel Hanson who left on Sunday no other changes are contemplated. The clerical, technical, housekeeping staff, nursing staff and engineer will remain.
