Recently two candidates for Parliament of Liverpool, Lord Sandon and Mr. Graves, undertook to make themselves agreeable to the fishwives of the city. While promenading the fish market, one of the women left her stand, and linking her arm in Lord Sandon's, walked the rounds, followed by the Town Council, who accompanied his lordship, and the body of fishwives, who followed them; and at the close of the perambulation another fishwife rushed forward and kissed both candidates amid general applause.
