HE MIGHT.

The Possibility
that Cleveland Would
Sign the Senate Tariff Bill.

Washington, November 20th.—The President drove out to Oakview, his country home, to-day, and will remain there the greater part of the time until Congress meets. He wishes to be free from interruptions while preparing his annual message to Congress. It is expected that Cleveland will continue to urge upon Congress the necessity for a revision of the tariff and the reduction of taxation, and in view of the result of the election it would not be surprising if he should intimate that he would sign the Senate tariff bill should it be adopted before his term of office expires.
