Most Miners In Williamson Field Return To Work

Williamson field miners generally complied with the instructions of their union officials and returned to work with few exceptions.

Among the Mingo county operations not mining coal were the Glenalum Coal Company, Winco Block Coal Company, D. H. Pritchard, Inc., of Delbarton and the Belfry Coal Company of Sprigg.

Glenalum and Pritchard were down because of excess water in the mines and the Belfry Coal Company is installing a substation.

Reason for failure of the Winco Block mine to work was not known here.

The Dayton Coal Company at Surosa was not working this morning but officials said the men were expected to work this afternoon.

The Crystal Block and Sycamore mines in Virginia were not working today but the cause was not known in the offices of the Operator's Association here. Home Creek mine in Virginia was working with a small force.
