PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 8.

It is said, that the Indians are encouraged in their depredations on our frontiers, by the British stationed in the Western Posts :-If so, while they remain there, we may never expect peace with their copper-coloured allies.-Hence the necessity of the adoption of coercive measures for the recovery of these posts.

The loss to the United States, from the British holding the Western Posts -to say nothing of the disgrace of it --in the article of Fur alone, is nearly 100,000l. per ann. The exports of furs from Quebec, last year, amounted to above 150,000l. sterling.
