China Would Imitate Fleet Cruise.

PEKING, March 23.—The Ministry of War is said to have memorialized the throne, asking that a squadron of war vessels should be sent to the south Pacific in order to show the dragon flag to the Chinese residing in the British and Dutch colonies and dependencies. It is asserted that this step is meant to combat any idea that may exist among Chinese abroad that the power of the present dynasty is waning—a feeling that may take root owing to the seditious literature which is being disseminated among them by revolutionaries.
