On Thursday Morning about Nine o' Clock, Twenty Jamaica Merchants, deputed by the rest of the Merchants trading to America, went to Hampton-Court, in Five Coaches and Four, with a Petition to His Majesty that they might have Satisfaction made them for the Losses sustained by the Spanish Depredations; and his Grace the Duke of Newcastle not being present, they were introduced by the Earl of Albemarle to his Majesty, into whose Hands they had the Honour to deliver their Petition; and by the gracious Reception they met with, they have Reason to hope they shall obtain a proper Redress.
