CANNERY AT PLANT CITY CLOSES MOST SUCCESSFUL SEASON

Plant City, July 11.—Over 20 cars of canned goods, consisting of 400,000 cans of beans, tomatoes and other products, have been shipped out of Plant City during the past few weeks, and with the close of the season H. A. Shaver, of Pikeville, Tenn., has shipped his machinery back to Pikeville, where he operates similar enterprises during the late summer.

While operating in Plant City, the weekly pay rolls were $700 to $1,000 and the community in general was benefitted, as the planters sold much overripe produce to the canning company. Mr. Shaver announces he will return in November and bring his machinery with him to get there in the height of the citrus season.
