Shortest passage ever made from New York to Albany.

On Saturday the 11th inst, the steamboat North America left New York in company with the new steamboat Erie, of the Troy line, one minute and three quarters past seven in the morning, and arrived at the foot of State street dock, Albany, thirty-two minutes past four in the afternoon—ahead of the Erie eight minutes, notwithstanding the latter boat took the Athens channel opposite Hudson, and ran by Kingston and Hudson landings. The North America made the passage from New York to Albany, including her landings, in nine hours thirty minutes and one quarter!

N. B. The North America made two landings more than the Erie.
