KAMPALA, Uganda - Uganda's first African Roman Catholic to become an Archbishop, Dr. Joseph Kiwanuka, was enthroned as Archbishop of Rubaga in the presence of the Kabaka (king) of Uganda and leading government officials, recently.

The prelate, who was Bishop of Masaka for twenty-two years, left his See at Masaka for the Rubaga Cathedral in an open car, and along all the way to the cathedral, thousands of Africans lined the route to catch a glimpse of him.

The cathedral congregation included two Archbishops, five Bishops and delegates from Italy, France, Portugal and Belgium.
