COMMUNICATION.
THE jacobins have taken up a trick of late, which they have borrowed from their friends, the French, of employing the ladies in their wicked manoeuvres. We know that the sex has long had great influence in the cabinet of France; and its busy scenes may suit the proud turbulent genius of a French demoiselle well enough, but the mild, the amiable daughters of America will lose greatly by mingling in the stormy element of politics. Their parents, their husbands, their brothers, their children, and their country, will all have cause to lament, when their fair countrywomen are metamorphosed into politicians. It is your business, ladies, to spread the oil of peace and joy over the troubled waters of life, and not to contribute your efforts to increase its storms Depend on it, this ill-chosen business, if you pursue it, will spoil your beauty, as well as mar your happiness; it will plant your bosoms with thorns, and deform your lovely faces with wrinkles before their proper time. Be warned; retreat, before it is too late.
