Full Text

Several weeks ago the paper announced that a government inspector had been here from Washington in relation to the location of the post office and that there was a strong movement on foot to have that department in Trinity Square.

Since then property owners in other quarters have bestirred themselves and become active in their efforts to retain the office in its present location or in the vicinity of Main Street Square.

In the meantime the inducements for its removal to Trinity Square are great and the ranks of the advocates are growing. After all, the popular opinion is undoubtedly expressed in the sentiment uttered by wealthy and prominent gentlemen recently: "As long as we have the carrier system the location of the post office is a matter of actual moment for business men will go anywhere."
